Office Manager / Senior Paralegal
Melvina grew up in New Braunfels and has lived in the San Antonio area all her adult life. She is a paralegal with over 35 years’ experience. She received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Paralegal Division, and has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1995. She has worked hand in hand with attorneys and has jointly handled thousands of Bad Faith Insurance lawsuits. In her career as a Board-Certified Paralegal, Melvina has also worked on thousands of homeowner property damage claims involving bad faith insurance, both on the defense and plaintiff side. She has extensive experience working personal injury, trucking litigation, commercial property, product defect, among other cases. Melvina has participated in many Jury Trials to conclusion. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, cum laude, from University of the Incarnate Word and also earned her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Management, summa cum laude, in 2016.
As part of the San Antonio arts community, Melvina is a classically trained flautist and performs with the Orchestra of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio Symphonic Band, Mozart Festival Texas Orchestra, and Symphony Viva. She has also soloed with the Tuesday Musical Club Chamber Orchestra and performs at various church functions throughout the City and surrounding areas. In addition, Melvina is President of the Board of Directors for Mozart Festival Texas and on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Symphonic Band. She has been married for 25 years and loves to travel to Cancun with her close-knit family, including toy poodle puppy, Dexter.
